Positive: This is a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment in Areatza. It is located about 30 minutes drive from Bilbao and a very pleasant 1.5 hour drive to LaGuardia (Rioja wine country). We really enjoyed this small farm setting and both side trips but also spent a full day enjoying/relaxing at Areatza. They happened to be having an annual festival in town (steps away from the apt) with everyone in traditional dress, folk dancing, music etc! The apartment is very new with the best furnishings and features two en-suite rooms, perfect for two couples or a family. Ramon and Amaia were wonderful hosts, making sure we had everything and enjoyed our stay. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe and this apartment, and our hosts, among the best we’ve experienced. We were sad to leave!

Positive: Beautiful riverside location on the edge of the lovely town of Areatza which had a couple of little bars offering food within walking distance. Right at the foot of the Gorbeia national park and easy access to Urkiola and lots of gorgeous scenery. Our hosts were so helpful and welcoming - would highly recommend a stay here as both the accommodation and the location are wonderful.

Positive: It is an unbelievable facility. Traditional from the outside, modern and well equipped from the inside. Two lovely bedrooms, a wonderful kitchen, you can find all you need there. I enjoyed late afternoons on the shaded terrace (with an outlook to flowers in the garden). The owners are the best people we have met, never experienced such a positive and friendly attitude. Thank you , friends, you are doing a great job!

Positive: The house is truly stunning. So much thought has gone into every detail and everything is of the highest quality. It is only a couple of minutes walk into town but it is so peaceful. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. It was a great place to relax after a day of hiking.

Positive: Everything! An incredibly well equipped, modern, clean and comfortable house with excellent wi-fi, and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make our stay special. We could live here! The view was gorgeous and the garden and animals and absolute delight. Lots to see and do in the surrounding areas with Bilbao and the coast just an hour away.

Negative: Nothing. All perfect.

Positive: The hosts are very nice, welcoming and helpful. They sent us tips via WhatsApp on a daily basis. They had even made a cake to welcome us to the place. There were frozen glasses in the freezer to keep the wine cold which they had kept for us in the fridge. To top it all off, they even got up early (5:00) to wave us off.

Positive: The hosts were very welcoming and the owner's daughter made it very easy for us as she speaks excellent English. The apartment is newly renovated and the renovation has clearly been done with great care and thoughtfulness. I will stay here again if I am ever in the area.
