Summary: I was one stressed out momma when we arrived at this beautiful oasis. The pool, jacuzzi & cats (!!) were amazing! I had to call the owner once (a cat question) and he was so helpful & friendly. Our stay was only a week but it hit the spot. I can't recommend this house enough! Did i mention the turtle & coy pond?? Enjoy!

Summary: Host was very easy to communicate with and the pictures are an accurate representation of the property. There were just a few inconveniences that didn't make it perfect. The massage chair was apparently broken by a previous traveler and hadn't been fixed yet so we didn't get to use it. This is kind of weird gripe but the toilet in the master bathroom was an older low-height round toilet. I'm a big guy and trying to sit on it in that small space was difficult. Fortunately there was a higher toilet with an elongated bowl in the other bathroom that was easier to use. I don't even think a toilet with an elongated bowl would fit in that small space and still be able to close the door so it really isn't the hosts fault but it was an inconvenience. The cats were a fun addition to our stay and the large fish tank was pretty neat. There really is an eel in there but we only saw it once. Another traveler mentioned that the house smelled like marijuana when they got there and I will add that the bedroom with the bunk bed did have a lingering pot smell but it wasn't very strong. I'm pretty sure that this is the host's primary residence and that he goes and stays somewhere else when people book the house. I think that this is a positive characteristic because it results in plenty of spices and cookware to use. There are also board games and a couple puzzles to help with entertainment.

Summary: I have been using Vrbo and other vacation rental companies for around 15 years and have always had a good experience with them. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for property "Golfer's Paradise". 2. Bedrooms were dirty---no top sheets, hair and stains on 3 of the 4 bed sheets, carpet in at least one needed vacuuming. We washed the sheets and stained mattress cover. The bunk room where the children slept smelled of pot, and we couldn't open the window because it was sealed shut. After this text to the owner, he called and was very apologetic and said his house cleaners usually do a good job, but he couldn't get hold of them. (We found out later he was the "cleaning lady") He said he would be right over with new sheets which he was. Again, very apologetic and asked what he could do to make it better. I said refund the cleaning fee which he agreed to do. 3. Bathrooms were not cleaned properly. There was hair in both sinks and used bar soap in a scummy soap dish in one. We cleaned the sinks and the shower tub. (While he was there I pointed these things out to him, and again he was very apologetic and said he could see what I was talking about and promised to do better in the future.) 4. Jacuzzi heater kept shutting off after 10 minutes. He came over and got it to work. He admitted there were some problems, and he'd have his pool guy stop by tomorrow. The pool guy never showed. He asked us to fill it because of evaporation the next day, and we did, but had to text for further directions. 5. We knew he had cats, and they were sweeties, but no instruction on care was left, and they woke us up while it was still dark wanting to get into the bedrooms. This is the owner's place of residence. If he is going to keep renting it, there needs to be more of an effort to make it acceptable to guests. I thought it was all over Friday. Unfortunately that was not to be the case. I received a text and some pictures about a scratch on his table and a broken gate. I pointed out he had told me that some other renters had put some scratches on his table. He said these were new ones. I had left a note when we left about the gate telling him that it would not open, so we had to pry it open and some very weathered board did break. I have to say the thing that upset me the most was the blackmail he tried.

Summary: The space was awesome for all of us golfers and the hot tub was great to enjoy the chilly evenings with. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the massage chair was much needed after a long day of golfing! If we come back to San Diego again we will definitely be booking this spot again. Also the cats were so welcoming and friendly!

Summary: This property is better than expected! Especially the backyard which is where we spend most of our time. We have kids that range from 9 to 27 and everyone was comfortable. We all enjoyed the mini golf and the sauna and the pool. We had fun feeding the turtles and the cats were super sweet! We especially loved the giant TV in the family room and the extra big sofa that we all fit on comfortably. The kitchen was equipped with everything that you need and including condiments and spices. We had easy access to the beach which most major beaches were only a 15 to 20 minute drive depending on traffic. We grilled and watched football outside. We cuddled up on the sofa and watch the movies. We had a wonderful time and we hope to go back soon!

Summary: The house was exactly as described and Scott was very responsive. The cats were indoor more than we thought based on the post but they were super sweet and we didn't mind at all. The pool and backyard were amazing! We spent most of time there. I also really appreciated he provided plenty of towels for the pool!

Summary: Scott was very easy to work with and answered all question and requests in a very timely manner. The property was a get family property plenty of things for the kids to do as the adults unwound from the day. The pets that are on the property where an wonderful delight for the adults and kids the cats are our daughters favorite. The turtles are my wife’s favorite who spent many moments watching them . The golfing areas were our sons favorite place to pass the time if they weren’t playing the play station on the giant tv . I enjoyed the wonderful pool and the grandparents loved the hot tub. The outside tv is a great way to continue to enjoy the wonderful weather. Overall this was one of the best properties we have stayed at and has ended our search of a place to stay when in San Diego as we now call it our San Diego home and look forward to many more family getaways and adventure with this as our home base. Also with Scott easy to work with and very accommodating it was the icing on a wonderful cake.

Summary: We had an absolute blast! We have 3 young kids and they loved all the fish, cats, turtles, pool, golfing, treehouse, etc! This property has everything including a sauna and gigantic tv's. We will definitely come back! We even left some clothes and kids blanket behind by accident and the owner mailed them to us, very nice.

Summary: This is a unique property with tons of things to entertain a family. It kept 4 adults, a five year-old and seven year-old busy and content. There’s a pool, hot tub, giant TV inside, tv outside, board games, a tree house and golf in front and back. The available amenities were enough that we only needed to buy food, and no condiments, spices or utensils. The house was clean and comfortable. Local stores and restaurants were plentiful and nearby.
