Summary: I booked and payed for a twin room for myself and my daughter just less that 2 months before our trip, when we got there, they didn’t have a twin room, they asked me if a double would do, no, as it was for myself and my daughter, I waited an hour before they got back to me with my room, stating that it was an upgrade with no extra charge, insinuating I should be thankful never mind they messed up my booking. I didn’t think much of the upgrade, it was small, warm and tired and it was a double with bed pulled apart to make like a twin, the shower barely flowed as did the cold water, it was a trickle at best, I come from Paisley (now Aberdeen) and stayed there on my wedding night in 1988, I rated it as an upmarket classier hotel, but it has went way down in my estimations, it was not a good experience for my weekend.

Summary: Bedrooms are dated but clean with only a few little issues around. The hotel is very warm inside and doesn’t have air con so a loud fan was needed. Breakfast was brilliant and worth coming back for.
