Summary: On arrival I said that I was with a group of 10 and we’d like to eat at about 8.30 or so and was told this would be no problem as the kitchen closed at 9. When we came back we were told the kitchen had closed early, which was annoying when I had specifically asked. The other thing which led me to score lower was the availability of breakfast, only from 7.30 - 8.30, which is too restrictive when you want to relax at a hotel, so I don’t know if the breakfast was nice or not as I didn’t make it down in time. The room was lovely and very comfy.

Summary: I stayed in room 8 for one night, clean room very comfy large bed amazing shower (water pressure was superb). We stayed on a Thursday night and they had live music on for an hour & then karaoke in the bar & restaurant 👍. The food was excellent there was a large selection of Indian food & some traditional dishes ( I had the chicken schnitzel with sauted potatoes & broccoli…v good. I’d also like to mention Sydney the extremely hard working barmaid, she never stopped all night 👏👏👏

Summary: Comfortable bed. Nice bed linen and towels and good bathroom. But access to the room was shabby and all carpets looked the worse for wear. Parking was limited and we had to leave our car on the road on Saturday night. Some staff were lovely others less so.

Summary: I liked the staff, the in-house food and drink. This is a working pub so it's noisy at night time when the staff are tidying up downstairs and constantly in and out the doors. 10.30pm until 24.00 was nosiy enough to keep me awake and stop me falling asleep.

Summary: Room was lovely but tight stair to get upstairs and managed to fall with luggage when leaving.. carpet thread bare on stairs. Breakfast and breakfast staff member excellent. Main downfall for me was bedroom was above extremely noisy pub with loud music till midnight. I had gone to bed as shattered from driving but no chance of sleep.

Summary: Welcome was good and check in was quick. We were shown to our room which was a little smaller than i expected, but it was functional. Bathroom was large. Breakfast on day 1 was an issue as the single person on shift seemed to be cooking and serving, but could not get the gas to light which had clearly flustered her. To be fair she made the best of a bad job. The only real problem i had was the entry door to the hotel area which slammed closed every time it was used. Our room rattled like the set of Crossroads at 6am, which i assume was when staff were arriving for work. Get this fixed and it would have been 4* across the board
