The Imperia Spa has undergone a luxurious transformation and is now open offering a luxurious escape, where the grandeur of a bygone age meets the wild beauty of Scotland’s natural landscape. Thermal & Relaxation Experiences include an outdoor sauna offering panoramic countryside views, Aroma Steam Room and Salt Steam Room alongside a deeply cleansing Pink Himalayan Salt Sauna. Wet Facilities include an indoor swimming pool. Guests can unwind in the soothing warmth of the outdoor Hydrotherapy Pool or experience invigorating contrast therapy in the Ice Fountain, Sensory Showers and Cold Plunge Pool. Positive: Most everything. Excellent location. We had room 16 overlooking the Clyde. The hotel is spacious clean well decorated and maintained. The spa area was superb. Before coming we were dubious about the extra charge but it was worth it. I had treatments which were costly but the practitioners were very professional. The staff throughout were very welcoming friendly and attentive. The menu and food served were also very good. The golf course also offers an excellent walking route with fabulous views over the estuary and towards Ben Lomond. On site charging points for electric vehicles.

Negative: The nineteenth bar didn’t seem appealing and not where you would want to spend the evening.

Summary: Would definitely stay here again

Positive: I thought the Spa was phenomenal — truly one of the best I’ve ever been to. Be sure to read the terms in advance, as there’s a fee and a few rules around using the facilities, but I found it to be incredible value for the experience you get. I also had dinner at the hotel and was really impressed by the variety of options (I’m vegetarian!) and the professionalism of the staff.

Negative: There were quite a few stairs to my room, but its a unique hotel and it added to the charm! A good workout before dinner.

Summary: Cant wait to go back!

Positive: The heating in our room didn’t work but we phoned down to reception and they came up to have a look and then said there was no power at all and they offered us a new room, we did end up getting the queens suit (i think that’s what it was called) this was really good of them to do so. The spa was amazing, we didn’t book in for any treatments but we still enjoyed it and came out feeling very calm🧖🏽‍♀️major plus was the dyson hairdryers!

Negative: breakfast was disappointing, not much choice and the continental breakfast was not fresh.
