Summary: What a beautiful hotel. Decor is absolutely stunning, hotel is spacious and the room was perfect. The staff are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. The leisure facilities great and food was fantastic. Definitely come back to visit.

Summary: Excellent and well kept hotel, last time i stayed was thirty years ago it’s in the same immaculate condition now as it was then. staff are great & helpful, Breakfast buffet of a high quality both hot and cold choices

Summary: We came for an overnight birthday treat. My partner mentioned this at reception and wasn't even wished a happy birthday. We walked, which seemed like forever to our room. The lifts were fine but didn't take any pressure off the room distance. We went into the room which was fine but it was an extremely hot day and the room was roasting. There is no aircon in the rooms and no fans provided. The rooms at premier inns are always ready to meet the comfort of their guests depending on the weather outside. There are no plugs at either side of the bed. I called reception and asked if there were any more plugs and he was so obtuse and rude and after huffing he sent up an extension cable. This still didn'thr no plugs by the bed. We went for dinner. There wasn't much choice and we both had different dishes. We both found it very bland and expensive for what it was. I don't think we will return here, didn't feel like a 4-star hotel treat for my birthday.

Summary: We stayed for one night with our 18 month old. There were only 2 pillows on the bed (couldn’t find any more in the wardrobe) and the travel cot was not the standard size (60x120) you’d normally get in hotel rooms, so the mattress we brought (because sometimes hotels do not provide a proper mattress for travel cots and it is therefore quite a hard surface) wouldn’t fit. Our daughter wouldn’t sleep in the cot. We couldn’t find a thermostat or similar that could change the temperature in the room, as it was very warm too. There were also no plugs by the bed, which nowadays is very standard. The room was, however nice and clean. I stayed in this hotel 13 years ago for a family wedding and feel it is not as good as it was then - perhaps there have been no improvements since then either. The reception areas are lovely, just a shame a few changes in the rooms would make much more of a difference. We didn’t get a chance to make use of the leisure facilities. The food was average, not reflective of the price. Sadly, we won’t be back as the hotel isn’t as “premium” as it used to be, or what we thought it would be.
