Positive: Lovely little cottage - immaculately clean and comfortable. Private parking, cooker and microwave for supper. Even a garden with comfy furniture for an evening drink in the sunshine. Very peaceful - and super close to JCB which was the purpose of my visit. Highly recommended.

Positive: Great location for Alton towers and surrounded by countryside. Would have definitely stayed longer if we needed to. Very clean with a nice, modern interior. The local pub is spot on what you would want and the food served was top tier for all 3 of us. And of course the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely visit again

Negative: Not being able to stay for at least a full day due to it being an overnight stop for us to go to Alton towers the following morning. No fault of the owners.

Positive: We were going to the JCB tour and the location is perfect. We had dinner and drinks a short walk to The Red Lion breakfast in the morning in a cafe across the road. Gladstone cottage is lovely and quiet at night.

Positive: The cottage was well situation in town with a take away and grocery store right across the road. 15 minutes drive to Alton towers. The cottage also had everything we needed and was spotless. The host gave clear instructions on how to find the property and we could arrive whenever we wished.

Negative: Block out curtains would be helpful for the summer months as it was very light, especially in the room with the sofa bed.

Summary: Lovely little cottage to stay for a night.
