Positive: We had originally booked to stay in February but due to a health issue we had to cancel at the last minute. Katrien & Patrick were so lovely and understanding about our situation, which we really appreciated. We rebooked for October for three weeks and we had the most wonderful, relaxing, and enjoyable stay in the gite. From before we arrived all enquiries we had were answered very promptly, and we were warmly welcomed by Katrien & Patrick when we arrived. They showed us around the gite and we were given the choice of double bedroom, and were shown how the pellet burner worked. On our first evening there was an issue with the hot water and Patrick immediately came over and dealt with it. The gite was very comfortable, and the garden and surrounding countryside views were a joy to wake up to each day. We were lucky enough to have 25 degrees of sunshine for our first two weeks there, so after going out and about exploring the surrounding towns and villages, we were able to enjoy sunbathing in the garden in peace during the afternoon. Caussens where Gite La Halippe is situated, is an ideal place to explore the whole of the region. The furthest we travelled was 45 minutes to the capital of Auch. Despite being out of season, we enjoyed visiting several markets, with one on most days, and there was always a bar or restaurant open in most of the places we visited. Katrien & Patrick are very friendly and accommodating hosts, who made sure our entire stay was wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend their gite and we would certainly be more than happy to stay again.
