Positive: Martine, the person that helps with the management of the gites was super nice and extremely helpful. We were there for 10 days and we thought there was a washing machine in our house but ours didn't have one, so she was super nice helping us do the laundry. She also made great recommendations for the area and was super nice with us and our kids. Thanks a lot Martine! The house is really beautiful and big fto fit our family of 7. The castle and the area are very beautiful for long walks, picnics, fishing, and convenient to visit the Loire castles, Tours, etc.

Negative: It is a pity beacuse the house is really beautiful but it was not clean... We know it is a country house and it can be dusty but there were spiderwebs and insects everywhere, even in the cupboards of the kitchen. Kicthenware was in the middle of spiderwebs and not clean. We had to buy insecticide as there were a lot of ants and spiders in the rooms. Also the fridge was not clean (we cleaned it ourselves) and it was freezing the foods and vegetables and leaking water. We recommend the owner to buy a new one. We think that for the price we paid, the house should be better maintained.

Positive: The property was beautiful and spacious to accommodate our large family. We had a warm welcome from Martine and a bottle of local wine from the hosts. The beds were comfy and the hosts provided a private tour of the chateau. Our family of 9 enjoyed meals in the outside courtyard and plenty of space for everyone to relax.

Negative: Floors were very creaky upstairs and it would have been nice to have access to washer/dryer more frequently.

Summary: Beautiful property with wonderful hosts.

Positive: Everything. The family are lovely hosts. We got to visit the chateau. The place has a beautiful atmosphere. This is a place to switch off from the world to recharge ones batteries. I woud highly recommend it incuding the visit of the chateau.
