Summary: We were allocated Room 6 The Queen Mother Room. The only comment I would like to make is regarding the hand held shower. Strength of the water cannot be controlled. The dial starts off with ice cold water and as one turns the dial towards the hot water, the strength of the water increases together with the temperature. By the time you reach the desired water temperature, the water spray is extremely strong that it is impossible to take a shower. The 2-3 inch deep shower cubicle will start to overflow!

Summary: Everything about The George Inn Mere was perfection. It's so mall and quaint, yet feels like the home you never had. The rich history of the hotel, the staff, the beds, and rooms. All perfection. If you are looking for a small local place that is off the beaten path, this is it. You won't regret it.

Summary: Breakfast was lovely, a little large for me but my husband managed his. Very good value for money. We would stay again.

Summary: The property is quite quirky with uneven floors but has character. Quite a small hotel and choices at breakfast were limited. Vegetarians and people with other dietary requirements not really catered for.

Summary: Lovely Friendly atmosphere from the time you walk in the door. Room was very comfortable, clean and cozy. Food was fantastic and good value for money. Very friendly staff, who were always happy to help. Would not hesitate to stay again. Brilliant.

Summary: Was one of the friendliest Inns that we have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff in the kitchen, the chamber maid Shelly was very meticulously thorough in her work. Would thoroughly recommend this Inn and will return.

Summary: Fabulous stay at the George inn. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Love the quirkiness of the pub / hotel. It's a beautiful old building and has rich history. The breakfast is fantastic, our family room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Excellent car park and superbly based to see the gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommend anyone staying here.

Summary: A very nice old pub in a central position in Mere The old plumbing system is extremely loud. There was no menu available - neither for breakfast nor evening meals. The meals praised on the website did not exist. The owner/chef arrived late for breakfast so early morning breakfast not available. Guests had to leave without the breakfast although included in the price.

Summary: this was a stop off for the start of our holiday, we were meant to be going to Salisbury races, but it was abandoned due to heavy rain, never the less it did not stop us enjoying our stay at this beautiful hotel, we had an amazing stay and it was very clean and all the staff were extremely polite and pleasant.
