Positive: I had a very pleasant stay at Gare55 in Evergem. The place has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with tasteful decoration that gives it a unique charm. Positive: Situated in small village, quiet, located centrally to visit Bruxelles, Anvers, Brugges, sea,, Gand, and south Netherlands. Great qualitative renovation job of an old station in a modern, industrial, technical and eco-friendly way. Owners friendly. Practical, cosy and big shared kitchen and living room (in addition to kitchen corner in room). Delicious smells in the whole building. sink, fridge, dishes, microwave in the room. Big bathroom, big shower, soap, shampoo, ... Individual confortable beds (can work for double or twin), we had a 3-bed room (there's only one like this) Dishes and drinks available from vending machine. Breakfast upon request (not tested) You can walk to the village center (butcher, bakery, hairdresser...)

Summary: Ideally centrally situated, nice, quiet, all you may need is availabble, different.

Negative: Curtain instead of a door for the toilet. No full length mirror. Being asked to wash my dishes

Positive: Beautiful finish to the room. Funky decorations and it’s the first time in a long time that I have come across a shower that is as good as the one in my home.

Negative: The lack of a bathroom door. I thought humans had evolved much farther than hanging a piece of cloth between sleeping quarters and the toilet/bathroom. This was the only negative but it is a big one and would stop me visiting again.

Summary: A really great room but with one huge flaw.
