Positive: Beautiful cottage set in stunning woodland with a Victorian walled garden thrown in for good measure. Wood burner and copious amounts of wood to burn Beautiful bedrooms and comfy sofa. Washing machine and tumble dryer Tea cakes for toasting what more could you want

Negative: Everything was great. Lack of a microwave was made up for by the presence of an oven and hob. Take a torch as there is no outside light which makes unloading the car more challenging

Positive: Great location with access to a walled garden to walk round....I've always wanted a walled garden! Would like to visit in the spring when the garden is at its best. Fairly well appointed cottage with a wood burner & good supply of logs which was welcome during our autumnal stay.

Negative: Whilst no real big issues there were a number of smaller issues which did seem to add up. There was no hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen however our host did supply some once the issue was raised. The shower screen leaked water all over the floor of the bathroom. Whilst the kitchen was fairly well stocked it didn't have a microwave which we consider an essential item. Could have done with more cleaning items in the kitchen (kitchen & hand towels, dish cloths, etc). Maybe a more thorough clean of the kitchen is in order as it didn't feel clean when using items (including the oven). The outside light didn't appear to work which would have been useful for when arriving back in the dark. Whilst we managed to sort out on how to use the TV the supplied instructions were out of date and as a result some guests may struggle to work out how to stream live TV. The heating system would benefit from the system being bled as it appeared to have a lot of air in it. We did expect the access road to be bumpy as advised but it is quite bad so glad we didn't turn up in car with low ground clearance.

Summary: Good little cottage in an excellent location to explore the area for a short stay.

Positive: Beautiful location and gardens. Comfy beds.Quirky cottage and we really enjoyed our overnight stay. Very clean. We would stay again.

Negative: The sofa's weren't very comfortable and the TV in the cabinet meant that if you sat in a certain spot you couldn't see the TV, also couldn't connect the DVD player as you couldn't move the TV. All small things that didn't spoil our stay.
