Positive: A good place to stay in Solkan. It is very close to the Solkan bridge. The facilities were good as well. Nika was very helpful and friendly.

Positive: The facilities are very clean and well-maintained. While it's clearly meant to be a hostel, the common areas are also rather stylish and pleasant to be in, with books to read and board games to pass the time. The organization and is also great, with clear instructions next to appliances and such. The owner and staff are very kind and full of information about the local area, and there are also plenty of maps and other reading material about local events available in the common area. The area around the hostel has a few bakeries and shops, and there's a few bus stations near that take you to the center of town, as well as a train station (note - the google maps location of the train station isn't quite right! It's actually under where the buses turn around). Other than the occasional train and minor noise coming from a nearby workshop, the area is very quiet. Every bed has an assigned place on the food shelf in the kitchen, and a locker with a key inside the rooms. The mattresses are comfortable and there's a privacy curtain on the beds, as well as a reading light. You can also turn off the main room light from your bed.

Negative: The way you need to lock the outside door was a bit confusing to me at first. A graphic explaining the process (like is present in other areas of the hostel) might be helpful. While the mattress I found comfortable, the pillow was rather big for me. I figured out a way to make it fit my neck by jamming my shoulder into it, but the first night I didn't sleep too well due to it. Ventilation in room 4 could be a bit better than just the one window (although overall it was fine). Overall, not much negative to say. Definitely the best hostel experience I've had so far!
