Summary: We stayed at Hotel Verde Azul for seven nights and greatly enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, the breakfast hours were good (6:30-9:00), the hammocks by the pool were perfect for chilling in the shade during the hot afternoons, the walk down to the waterfront was an easy one, and, best of all the staff were very kind and helpful.

Summary: Location good, in residential area but close to centre. Changed our room at our request which we appreciated. Small swimming pool. Lovely hammocks by the pool. Staff spoke very little English so difficult to speak to them (we didn’t speak Spanish either!). I’m a vegetarian and don’t eat eggs, used google translate to say this but still given eggs. Breakfast very basic, roll, fruit and scrambled eggs. Coffee and fruit juice (watered down). Place is clean and cheap, just a little better than a hostel but you get what you pay for.

Summary: Breakfast was served fresh - upon arrival to dining area, eggs and plantain were fried. Bun super fresh. Coffee delicious. No ocean view, but pool was lovely to relax in after a long day exploring. Young lady at Reception, Andrea, couldn't be more helpful. A pleasure to deal with. She arranged airport transfer for me. Also helped carry bags up to room.

Summary: My room was clean! Within walking distance to almost everything I wanted to do. Breakfast was made fresh every day. The staff was extremely kind and helpful! My only complaint was the rooster that was nearby! Other than that it was quiet.
