Positive: Perfect stay our group of 3, travelling as a spiritual pilgrimage to sacred sites in Sri Lanka. The villa was spacious, clean and quiet. I especially enjoyed the covered outdoor seating upstairs for reading, taking meals and morning yoga/fitness. Nishan and her family were lovely hosts, even sharing her birthday festivities with us. It was also nice having the ability to buy food locally and make our own meals in comfort. I highly recommend this villa.

Positive: The property was sparkling clean and very spacious. Basic but everything proper. Location is beautiful. It is far out from the city and suitable only if you have your own private transport. Parking available at the property.

Negative: The wifi was not working when we arrived. The owner said that he will fix it the next day, but we had no wifi throughout the whole stay. We had a bigger issue than this. We booked the whole apartment (3 bedrooms). It was written clearly in our reservation. Upon arrival, the owner told us that if we want to use the kitchen we have to pay an extra charge for the gas. The next day he also told us that since we are using 2 bedrooms, we will have to pay extra for the second room. I contacted booking.com about the situation but the customer service team was neither promt nor very supportive, so we ended up paying around 50% more the original amount of the stay. The owner said that this extra charge was even dicounted from the original price, and he will not charge us for the gas (that we did not really use) as a bonus. The reservation process for this property and the listing are not very clear. I don't know if the shortcomings are from the website or the owner's site, but make things clear with the owner at reservation stage, ir be prepared to pay extra charges not mentioned in the listing or during the booking process.

Positive: Place was very clean. Fair amount was charged. Actually didn't expect that much of facilities for that price. A kitchen, a rooftop terrace, TV lobby, dining area gave us a fully satisfied stay. Owner was also friendly and helpful. The property is an absolute hidden gem in Kandy area . Loved the stay.
