On the 1st floor:

To reach the entrance of the gîte which is located on the 1st floor, you will have to climb 12 stone steps.

Land: Very large: 115 hectares in one piece of vines, land and wood in the "Natura 2000" area. You can walk, cycle, hike on the many paths of the property. You will be close to the private beach of the domain bordering the river "la Cèze.

Swimming pool: Located in front of the gîte. Overflow. Secured by fence. To share. Dimensions: 15 m X 5 m. Depth: 0 m 30 to 1 m 70, with beautiful and large submerged beach. 14 sunbathings and deckchairs. Parasols.
Beach by the river: Private on the estate. On the edge of the property. Located about 1 km from the cottage. Accessible on foot, by bike via a private road.
If you wish, you can use the bikes available at the gîte to get to the river.

Wifi access in the gites and around the swimming pool.
On the estate (115 hectares in one piece) are located: the wine cellar and its cellar, four cottages for 4 and 2 people, adjoining the cellar and further our home.
An independent mazet is also rented seasonally for 4 people: it is located 1 km from the estate in the woods.
The harvest is done in September and generates activity around the cellar (comings and goings of the employees of the domain early in the morning and in the day). Agricultural activity continues throughout the year. The swimming pool will be shared with vacationers on the property.
During your walks on the property's paths, you may come across some of the domain's employees, the grape pickers in the fall, our two dogs (very sociable).
PRE (Pure Spanish Spanish) breeding horses are also present on the estate.

Summary: The Pelisse cottage is more of an apartment on the gorgeous Domaine de Gressac property. Pelisse is one of several suites thoughtfully renovated and situated in the old winery buildings; the rooms are modern and well-appointmented within walls that date from the 1600's. We were very comfortable and enjoyed using the updated kitchen, preparing meals with the lovely produce and food from the local area. We had a fabulous view of the Ceze valley from our kitchen and living room. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil with plenty to do in terms of the pool, walking to the River Ceze, or relaxing on the balcony. There are bicycles and games for the guests but we did not take the opportunity to enjoy them as we spent most of our days out enjoying the area: kayaking on the Ceze, kayaking on the Gard, exploring Arles, Nimes, the Camargue, and nearby Provence--all within drives of an hour or less. Laurence and Reto are gracious, helpful hosts. The property includes their own house and equestrian center, so they are easily available for local recommendations or for assistance, if needed. We also loved their sweet dogs!

Summary: This place was heaven on earth! Wine, horses, dogs and amazing living quarters called "gites" Absolutely 5 star. The hosts Laurence and Reto could not have been nicer. This place is a hidden gem.
