Positive: The price was super competitive. Although we did not meet the staff personally, the communication via WhatsApp and phone calls was very easy and the person who attended us was responding very quickly. Notice you are renting a bedroom within a house. You are given access to a shared living room and a kitchen which we did not have to use but I believe it was fully equipped for you to prepare your own meals. Our room had an en-suite bathroom and a large wardrobe area which was really useful as it made our room large enough to stay with our two dogs (notice you have to requested permission to take your pets with you). We met another couple with a dog. The house is almost completely finished except for a few details; everything was nearly brand new. We found the room in a very clean condition with a whole set of clean towels and toiletries. The place is within a few kms from the border with Luxembourg and this makes it really competitive to host people who for work reasons need to commute from Germany to Luxembourg and viceverse. It was not our case as were were just visiting an acquaintance during a road trip within Germany.

Negative: There was nothing we did not like.

Summary: Very competitive price for a room wiht bathroom in a shared villa.

Positive: This place is quite close to my work so I tried it to see if it is an option for me and my 17 month old to have a sleepover if I’m too tired to drive home after work. So the location for me is perfect. For others, it might be very nice to be central between Remich, Trier,… The common parts are very spacious, there’s a nice tv available, the kitchen is well equipped (though I only made use of the fridge) and overall the place looks very good. I really liked the shower, it was very nice and warm. It was also very nice to step out of it on warm tiles because of the floor heating. The bed was very comfy and it took me almost no time to fall asleep. The host was friendly and tried to make sure everything was provided for us to have a great stay. I could leave when I wanted to (I left quite early morning).

Negative: There’s 2 number 15 and I first rang the bell at the neighbors place. This neighbor was not pleased to see me. I think it could be avoided by having a clearer indication that the door to the left is the entrance to the booking place. When I walked in the room, the window was open (and it was freezing outside) so it was quite cold in the room. I sat in the common areas while the room heated up, this took a while. I left the heating on the fullest setting as I thought it wasn’t getting hotter but during the night I had to get up because it got too hot (in the end, I underestimated the floor heating). There was no door frame in one of the doors and one of the shelves was a bit bent but none of this bothered me as I did not « use » this, it just took away from the overall aesthetic of the place

Summary: Overall it was an amazing stay and I will most definitely go back often!

Positive: On the plus side -- there is a parking space in front of the house and in principle there are a lot places to park, so there is no point in paying an additional 10 euros for parking. We rented 2 rooms on the first and second floors - both were clean. We slept well, despite the simplest beds. It is also worth noting that the owner of the apartment was in touch all the time and was very friendly. Also, if you consider the cost of a room for two (56 euros), the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. However, since we essentially rented two rooms, the total cost of accommodation (101 euros) is almost at the level of a hotel, but with a significantly lower level of service for now.

Negative: We checked in late at night, having received instructions about where to find the keys — under a black box (I'll add a photo of the box for future generations) — and that was it. It's worth mentioning that number 15 is located near two doors, one of which has a black mailbox, but there were no keys there (you have to look for small black box on the gravel near the next door). The house was rather chilly. The keys had pink and yellow key fob, but unfortunately, they weren’t labeled with room numbers, just like the rooms themselves, so we had to figure it out by trial and error. The first room opened right away — it was a room on the ground floor with a temperature of about 16 degrees Celsius, no bed, and just a mattress on some sort of platform. After speaking with the host, it turned out that the heating was through underfloor heating, so we needed to turn it on, and it would eventually get warmer. By morning, the room was indeed quite warm. The second room wasn’t found immediately. At first, the key opened a different room that already had someone’s belongings inside... How many people were staying in the other rooms I tried to open was unclear, but it felt rather awkward. The second room, when finally found, was fairly warm, giving us hope that the downstairs room would also warm up in time. On the ground floor, our room didn’t have its own bathroom — the bathroom was shared, so it would have been very nice if it had a lockable door. The rooms have rather thin doors and plasterboard walls, so you can hear everything everywhere, even if people are speaking quietly. Overall, the house is still under renovation, so there’s hope that things will improve.
