Positive: - Breakfast had a good spread. - Facilities were varied and clean. - Rooms were clean. - The flexibility to opt for a half/full room clean each day in exchange for credit was useful. - The airport shuttle was very useful.

Negative: - The staff didn't speak much English so it was very difficult and occasionally frustrating to communicate at times. - The hotel is nice but it as advertised much more as a luxury adults-orientated hotel but it was completely overtaken by children which meant the hotel wasn't as peaceful. It was nice to see children enjoying the facilities but I'd like to see some adults-only zones. - Although variety of restaurants was good, the quality did not live up to standards considering how much we paid for our stay & it was a lot more expensive than eating in town. - Would have liked the hotel to put on a town <> hotel shuttle several times a day.

Positive: The outside and the pool area are very nice, very green and well maintained! And the beach is nice even tho the area where you can swim is limited.

Negative: It’s a great place if you have kids, me and my mom Wanted to relax and it’s pretty hard in a resort that is filled with kids playing and screaming everywhere at any time of the day…but besides that, if you are a family with kids it is recommended. If you are a couple or with friends and no kids maybe this isn’t the place for you.

Positive: The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. You can choose whether or not to have your room cleaned, and if you skip housekeeping, you receive a valuable voucher that can be used at the hotel’s restaurants and shops. The restaurants were good, and our favorite was the Asian fusion restaurant. Both the pools and the beach were very well maintained, and we really enjoyed sunbathing and swimming. The gym was more than sufficient, and we used it several times. The spa and massages were absolutely heavenly!

Negative: The hotel is a family-friendly resort, so there are many families with children. All the children were cute though! However, as it’s typical for resorts, you may have to wait in line for breakfast and buffet dinners.

Summary: A lovely week by the sea.

Positive: Very good location, proximity to beach, everything is in one place. Hanaré restaurant in the best experience we had, beachside grill is also good. Prepare for a bit of walking though, if you get placed in one of the more distant rooms/villas.

Negative: Maybe you could make more prevention against the bugs, they get easily into the rooms when the rooms are being cleaned or under the door, then its not so pleasant to have them in the room.

Positive: Overall, it's a beautiful resort with a great view of the ocean. Snorkeling at/around the resort is GREAT and we've snorkeled in a lot of places! Swimming area is decently sized and netted to protect swimmers from jellyfish. Breakfast buffet is good not great, decent variety, but crowded. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Negative: Breakfast is cleared at 10am, with final seating at 9:30, our family likes to sleep in so it was hard to get there on time. Also, do not pay extra for the ocean views, its expensive and the view was still mostly trees with a sliver of ocean, very disappointed by this. Dinner has 4 options, all requiring reservations, and 3 of the options are coursed or buffet only. Didn't love this, would like more a la carte dining options, especially traveling with kids who don't eat much.

Summary: Overall, a lovely resort if you're in the Ishigaki area with only a couple drawbacks.

Positive: We made the mistake of booking a hotel in the other side of the island and didn’t have our international license. We had to switch last minute but wished we had just booked it right out. The property was huge but had everything you could need. We had a week full of sunshine and play and our kids had the time of their lives. The breakfast and dinner buffets were mediocre at best but for my kids it was wonderful. We did try the Chinese rest on premise and it was quite good too! Anything we wanted to get to off the premises was easy with the amount of taxis coming and going. Would definitely stay again and wish I had just booked it the first time around!

Positive: The pool an water park for the kids. The connection between the pool and beach was also very convenient. The dinner as buffet also have a lot of options what was nice. Having the facilities with filtered water and washing machines was also a plus. Having the included bus shuttle between airport and the resort was also great!

Negative: The waiting list for breakfast. Limited options for lunch.

Summary: Good experience overall. Travelled with two kids (0 & 4Yrs) and it was great.
