Positive: A lot of indoir and outdoor hot springs to enjoy. Near to the onsen village, which is good for a leisure stroll. Food in the hotel was good, and the staff were very attentive.

Negative: The blanket was too thick for spring weather.

Positive: The hotel is located in the beautiful mountains in Saga. The scenery is beautiful with snowing. The room is excellent with friendly staff. They serve excellent meals which are inclusive in the room rate. The Onsen is good.

Negative: We went there during the heaviest snow fall in 2025. As overseas tourists, we were not familiar with the local enivironment. We tried to email & call the hotel but we were unable to receive update information. Luckily the snow stops in the last moment & we were able to drive to the hotel successfully. However, we were not so lucky when we left. We picked the wrong route & we were unable to get through the mountains as suggested by the car navigation. We had to retreat & use extra hours to drive to other destination. We understood this was extreme weather condition & it is not common, we would suggest the hotel to send us tourists information via email or phone calls in advance.

Summary: Beautiful hotel with good room, onsen & food but is a bit difficult to access in extreme weather

Positive: Rooms are big and comfortable, beds and beddings also very good. Food quality exceeded expectataions - both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Onsen also very nice.

Negative: The bathrooms are very cold. Would have enjoyed a bit more condiments snacks nd drinks in room, as the hotel is not close to convenient stores.

Summary: Excellent stay with wonderful onsen and delicious food. Thank you

Positive: The kaiseki dinner is very nice. Breakfast spread was good and varied. The onsen facilities in ryokan is very good, especially the open air bath area. The sand bath option is unusual, and the foot bath avail is nice too. Even as the staff mostly cannot speak english well, they were very helpful and assisted to their best efforts. The shop in lobby level is interesting with things to purchase.
