Negative: It was very small, it’s okay if you’re just using it to sleep like we did. Price is a bit high for the place but for a last minute booking accommodation it was good.

Positive: There's no breakfast but the cafe a few doors down makes good coffee, lattes & delicious custard tarts. If you'd like some Indian/Thai cuisine, that's also a few doors down. They make a great tandoori chicken. There are genuinely friendly, kind and helpful people, and then there are the 'overly friendly' checking out your jewellery. There was a classic car show last weekend called Kars on King put on by the City of Oshawa. There was something for everyone. I couldn't help myself and wondered which ones could be made autonomous. Would that be some sort of violation of modernizing something old and beautiful?!

Negative: Black out curtains or shades would be great. Street lights are very bright. The location can seem and feel a bit unsafe so take necessary precautions. City seems to keep the streets clean & it does look like they are gentrifying the area.

Summary: Comfortable & tastefully decorated. I like the simplicity and comfort. Need blackout curtains.

Positive: The room itself was functional and clean. Staff were quick to respond when messaged. Kitchenette was generally well equipped.

Negative: The location was not great. We didn’t feel safe at night wandering around. Lots of drug affected people wandering around, yelling in the middle of the night. While the property description indicated on site parking there was only street parking available. It also indicated there was a washing machine in the room. It was a communal laundry with shared washer dryer paid for with coins. The 2nd bed was just a large couch and we had to request bedding which didn’t look that clean.

Negative: Everything was great. The only complaint I would have is to have more pillows. I had to go out and buy pillows for the 2nd night.
