Positive: The room was large and in a really nice, quiet location. It’s surrounded by nature which added to the experience.

Negative: The room needs maintenance. The bin mechanism was broken, the walls need repainting, parts of the wall are deteriorating, the bathroom glass has mineral build up, under the sink is rusting, among other minor things. They are adding more units and a spa to the hotel, which is good, but they should work on the existing rooms and maintenance first in my opinion.

Summary: A very peaceful location with great staff.

Positive: wonderful location in the middle of the forest but a short walk from Furnas lake, good pool and nice restaurant with high expensive but very quality food and drink - our daughter loved the added bonus of the animals on site

Negative: some building work going on currently which very slightly effects the outlook from the accommodation and restaurant, im sure this will soon be completed and is a minor point which did not adversely effect the enjoyment of our stay

Positive: Quiet relaxing accommodation; unique and spacious accommodations; so close to Lake Furnas to be able to walk there!

Negative: Would have been nice to have a spa or other amenities; got charged extra for dinner and had to inform staff to be refunded

Positive: It is a perfect quiet location a short drive from the town of Furnas. It is cleaned daily with fresh bed linen and towels and coffee capsules.

Negative: There are construction works going on from 8:30 on the site - so expect the sound of cement mixer, drilling and pounding and occasional shoutouts and loud conversations from the workers. This makes hanging out at the property impossible unless you want to hear all those sounds - you can of course close the windows - they are sound-proof - but it kind of kills the purpose of staying here to be close to nature. It would be nice to have been infirmed about it before arrival.

Summary: A perfect place for people who do not like the hustle and bustle of mainstream tourism.

Positive: Incredibly beautiful! The rooms are private, unique and comfortable. The location is out of town in a tranquil setting with wildlife and lush gardens.

Negative: The owner approached us as we were strolling the gardens and asked if we needed help. It was a bit of putting as it stated on the website that we were free to explore. Her approach could have been less inquisitive . She asked if we were guests right away as if we were just intruding. For the cost of the facilities, I would expect to feel more welcomed. Once she knew we were guests she tried to chit chat but at that point we were a bit offended.

Positive: Glorious, magical location in an enchanted forest.

Negative: Temporarily, there is building work happening to create a beautiful spa and more cabins. The work goes on 9.00 - 13.00 and 15.00 - 17.00 more or less - so don't expect magical silence during these hours. ( But they work relatively quietly as they are doing one cabin at a time - and it is not intrusive visually. )

Summary: A magical place in an enchanted forest. One night was too short. Beautiful breakfast. Great staff.
