Positive: This was our second stay here, and we really like the japanese style rooms, the spa, and the spacious public amenities, like the lobby and the lounge area. The ofuro and rotenburo are just fantastic.

Negative: Disappointed that they haven't been able to reopen the snack bar, but there's a great supermarket right next door for snacks.

Positive: The location was easy to park at, the staff was friendly. My room was on the same floor as the onsen. The room was very warm, the view was of where the mountain would have been. The outdoor onsen pool was delightful. You are given a table for your stay. So you know where your are. Breakfast was very traditional. It was interesting for me, my dining companions, not so much.

Negative: The hotel was a bit run down. Many of the doors and surfaces are covered by fake wood laminate. The toilet is very close to the door. The carpet had seen better days. If i had not been to an onsen before this would have been a very confusing experience. The dining room is very basic and cafeteria feeling. Each meal is kaiseki - dinner and breakfast.

Positive: Good onsen, great view of snow mountain at the back of the hotel. Spacious room, comfortable bed.

Negative: Not recommended to take the breakfast and dinner, not worth the value. Need improvement to clear the icy parking spot in front of the hotel.
