Recently renovated master suite available in an updated mid-century modern home. This is a shared property with the owner on site. Situated in a safe neighborhood roughly thirty minutes north of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, we'd like to welcome you into our home! While we do reside on the property. Guests are welcome to relax in the pool and make use of our outdoor cooler or catch up on missed episodes in the living room. Living and dining areas boast large windows with plenty of natural light, and you might catch a glimpse of the resident turtle begging for bacon. With a king sized bed, private en-suite bathroom with shower, TV, and private pool/patio access, this room is the perfect pace to unwind after a long day of work or exploring the Caverns. Guests will enjoy covered driveway parking. Guests will have full access to all common areas: kitchen/dining area, two living rooms, and private back yard with large patio and pool. Summary: This is a nice property to stay in Carlsbad to avoid the pricey hotels. The owner left great instructions for entering the property, parking (covered area in driveway), and things to do in the area. As an added bonus, a hot tub was recently installed which we were welcome to use. We were also free to use the laundry and common areas. We rarely saw the owner but when we did he was sincere and helfpful and we would stay again.

Summary: Stayed a few nights while I cleared cedars off some family property near by. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and nicely decorated. Private bath but shared cooking facility. Hosts were available but close to invisible unless I reached out to them.

Summary: First off...WOW! This was me and my wife's first try at staying in a hosted property. We've rented condos and houses before, but never a "room." We've also never been to this area, and really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into... Thanks for making our first experience WONDERFUL! The room and house were clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and well stocked (plus, the shower had AWESOME water pressure), and the hosts though we never saw/met them were super accommodating. Not going to lie, it felt a bit awkward being in someone's "home," but we never felt uneasy or as if we were imposing. The hosts left notes and other little nuances making us feel very welcome. The home is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the heart of downtown, but it feels like you're much farther out. The check-in was seamless and easy, the information binder answered questions we did not know we had, and the recommendations therein were spot-on (Trinity Hotel for dinner our first night AND breakfast our second morning, followed by El Jimador for dinner)! I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting the greater Carlsbad area. Well done Lu and Kerry and thank you BOTH for your service to our Country and to your community!

Summary: Nice place for our base camp while visiting the national parks. Really enjoyed our short stay. Nice space with Netflix! Also appreciate being able to use the kitchen. Great commutation before our stay as well as good info on Carlsbad area once we arrived. Comfortable and affordable!

Summary: The owner of the home seems very nice his girlfriend was very sweet unfortunately the pool was not even Able to swim in very dirty and when you're in a 100ﾟ weather that's not very good thing look nothing like the pictures on the VRBO Website Left day early the house was very warm at night not able to sleep well
