Positive: We chose Fridhems pensionat because it was close to Visby and on the waterfront. I specially like old , historical hotels and this one has even a royal past which added to the experience. The house itself is a museum with specific rooms dedicated to its history. The room like in many of those places was middle size with a tiny ensuite, but it was comfy. I would recommend to ask for the big rooms at the front which are accessible through the front balcony ( not sure in winter though) The breakfast buffet was a cold one but acceptable.
Negative: I found that it was running on minimum staff doing all they could.
Summary: Comfortable stay in a romantic historical house.

Positive: Fantastic building (that could as well be a museum) with great charm; excellent location with a view on the cliffs and the sunset over the sea; beautiful garden; great breakfast and friendly and helpful staff.
Negative: The walls and ceilings are a tad thin, so you may hear your neighbors, but it really didn't bother me
Summary: Fantastic location, charming building and rooms, great breakfast and staff

Positive: A beautiful historic pension with generous breakfast and a lovely setting close to the sea.
Negative: Climbing 44 steps on a spiral staircase to our room and a wardrobe with a broken door.
Summary: good value for money and few irritations.
