Summary: Best place in Norwich to stay

Summary: Apparently Fred's is the best place to stay in the Norwich area. So says several people who live in the area. The room was clean. The bed was OK, a little soft for me but might be fine for others. The TV seemed only able to get channels from my subscriptions so I just didn't use it. Nice refrigerator with separate freezer section. Nice microwave.

Summary: Dated and rustic but comfortable. Actually have a key to the door. Friendly staff. I will definitely stay here every time I am in Norwich.

Summary: Stained towels. Coffee maker crusty and dirty You could see light through the door jamb where the locks/knob are like someone tried to break in. Good hot water in the shower though! Because we used it after the questionably clean jacuzzi tub. Wall ac was adequate

Summary: Fred’s Inn is a clean comfortable minimalist motel. This was our second stay here. The people are nice. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. We can’t ask for more. Conveniently located for our child’s college.

Summary: Worth it just for the on site restaurant! Old school with multiple courses included and some of it was over the top good. The oil for the bread course and dip for the veggie tray was great! We had the surf and turf special for $29! Lobster tail was good. Steak was ok. Probably tenderized and i don't love that texture. The green beans are amazing. Never thought I'd write that sentence. Service was not great but good (there were multiple mistakes like forgetting the soup course until the entree came and giving both of us the wrong sides), but she was very nice and hooked us up with half and half for coffee. We had doggy bags to put in the fridge. Check in was with the bartender and you didn't really know that unless you go to the bar and ask. Lots of smokers outside the motel rooms. We weren't sure if they were workers staying there for a job or guys living there.

Summary: The stay was good. Food was to me amazing. A little out side of town but only a few minutes. Would stay there again

Summary: For the amenities, room options, and location, Fred's Inn is one of the best gems that I have been to in years. Thanks to all staff who made the staff and travel partner's experience a wonderful one

Summary: It’s dated and a little shabby. Lighting in the room was terrible, no way to read in bed. Considering it is on a main road, the room was quiet. My major objection however is that my room was never cleaned, although I put out the “please make up the room” hangtag every day. The housekeeper would change it to a “do not disturb” tag every day. When I finally complained to a manager, he said the owner would get in touch with me to remedy the situation, but he never did.
