Summary: We had 2 rooms booked, one on the ground floor and one upstairs - family room. Unfortunately the double mattress in the upstairs room was really uncomfortable, we had to lie on a spare duvet to make it better. Maybe that there are refurbishments being carried out as the ground floor room mattress was a much better quality. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff were super helpful.

Summary: This hotel is very welcoming and friendly! We had a lovely 2day break! Rooms immaculate spotless and super clean! Home cooked food which was beautiful! The restaurant and bar had lovely decor and I would highly recommend! The location for this hotel is perfect to visit surrounding areas! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Summary: The food was perfect, staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to anyone who is looking for accommodation in the area.

Summary: Arrived checked in after a few minutes. Nice clean rooms All the staff on when i stayed were attentive and very friendly Lovely little Pub/Restaurant area. Food was excellent quality. Road noise isn't excessive, as its situated on the main road, so dont let that put you off. My self and business partner will be booking accommodation again a couple of time in 26 when we are down in the area on work.

Summary: I've used the F&G over many years. It's a decent independent hotel which has recently refurbished at least some of its rooms. If you're fed up of chains, try the F&G.
