Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property was very nice and it's close to all amenities, it's in a private complex and we even had our own private lock-up garage where to park our car. The host charged us only for 1 out of 2 pets, i.e. €25 instead of €50 plus we were given late check out on the last day from 10:00am to 16:00 free of charge.

Negative: We stayed for 2 nights, so only 1 full day, on that day next door started construction works which lasted the who day, we were planning a nice relaxing day by the pool and ended up having to go out as we couldn't bare it any longer. On one evening it was a bit chilly, and decided to switch on the stove, but was not working.

Summary: Lovely property, great views, would have like we could enjoy it more.

Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property is on a quiet lane with no through traffic not far from the town centre but also with great views across the countryside and hills. The garage is enormous. The sitting room is also massive with a wonderful arched ceiling and large windows letting plenty of sunlight in. The swimming pool is fabulous and kept clean. The three bedrooms are a good size, one with a terrace and all with effective air conditioning. The sitting room also had effective air conditioning. The owners were quick to offer €400 compensation in view of our experiences (see dislikes).

Negative: Unfortunately the property is a very tired in places and we experienced a few issues during our stay. The seal at the base of the sitting room window is faulty, which led to large pools of water in the sitting room after rain. The management supplied a mop and bucket but really the window and the doors to the pool area need full repair work. The window in one of the bedrooms and the terrace doors in another bedroom also leaked, again leading to pools of water on the floor. The mattresses on the beds are very soft and worn. The sheets on our bed also didn’t quite fit. The pillow cases had a slightly mouldy smell - as did parts of the apartment - perhaps because it hasn’t been water tight for a while. Several of us experienced rashes / small bites around our head/faces during the stay (which disappeared a day after arriving home) making us suspect the pillows as well as the whole apartment need a thorough overhaul with all mattresses/bedding replaced and fumigation. The dishwasher was not working on arrival and had to be removed (without replacement) after a few days. There is no face to face reception. We did have speedy contact via WhatsApp with a local representative but never saw them.

Summary: A potentially beautiful apartment in need of urgent repairs and refurbishing
