Summary: The Four Points Hotel is given a four star rating but services are lacking. The lack of parking for guests was not made clear on the booking site. I have yet to stay at a 4 star hotel that does not offer parking on site. This posed an additional daily cost. In the middle of summer, the rooms were stiffling hot with no air conditioning option. There was only one pillow per guest. We had booked two rooms and my daughter had to change rooms after the first night because of ants on hertable which was upsetting for her. The staff member swapped the room without fuss and efficiently but no apology was offered, as a matter of courtesy. The rooms lacked basics, a mini fridge for example. The carpets in the corridors and the rooms was dated and not very clean. There was a lack of amenities in the foyer- seating areas for example. Room cleaning was not a given, it had to be requested. The hotel information card was not very informative at all. The only positive with respective to our stay was the friendliness and efficiency of the receptionist, Lena who checked us in.

Summary: Friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast quite good. Overall a very good hotel. I would recommend it for visitors to Göttingen. It is located within a short distance to the train station, and short walk to the centre of the town.

Summary: Being visiting Goettingen for 20’years, the location, if going on a morning train is excellent…literately 5 min (timed it). Also close to city centre, so for a visit with kids a good option for affordable 2 rooms. BUT, this is not 4 stars, not 3 stars, might pull a 2,5 star. So if they sold, given the reasonably good price, it as what they were, the rating would be higher….but 4 stars is just dishonest.

Summary: Our room was exactly as expected , clean , comfortable and quiet. We had an excellent breakfast at the hotel and were within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants and cafes. Parking just across the road was also very convenient.

Summary: The hotel has no clear signs set up how to access parking at the hotel. As a consequence, we parked across the street in a parking garage only to discover the next day that the hotel has parking space if you pass a gate that apparently is open all the time which is not apparent from the road. It also is somewhat obscure why the hotel is charging for parking when the spots are not marked at all, and cars can enter the area as there are a cinema and other public venues (event center, museum) located as well as three restaurants, all of whom are not associated with the hotel. The interior of the hotel has the vibe of a youth hostel as far as I am concerned, and when I booked the hotel, its name was 'GHotel' which changed to 'Four Points Flex' in a matter of weeks (and listed 'Marriott' as the wifi access point provider) which just sounds weird. The wifi was virtually absent. we had very spotty internet access. If you come by train, the hotel is on convenient walking distance. Other than that, it has no distinguishable qualities from other hotels.
