Summary: If you prefer modern, luxury hotels, this place isn’t for you. But if you want a “historic” experience in a motel that’s from another era, you just might love this nostalgic choice! We did. Check-in was a pleasure (but they close at 8) and the room was large and clean. The satellite TV system was too complicated for us to figure out, but we watched free stations on the Roku channel. We loved the live music at The Bullpen, a local tavern next door, also historic with great staff. You can stay at the casino a few miles away for a bit more money, but if you want to time travel to the 50’s in the center of town, give this place a try. Also, several great restaurants located just up the street.

Summary: Fort Verde Suites was nice. Had a kitchen with everything supplied. TV was somewhat of an issue, kept buffering. King bed was to firm for my husband, but good for me. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Very helpful & friendly manager.

Summary: Checkin was quick and easy. The rooms were fairly clean even though the property is quite aged. Keep shoes on, however. Shower head was 5' high so it was tough to wash hair. Beds were comfortable. The rooster next door got us going in the morning.
