Positive: Beautiful location, spotless new bathroom, comfortable and warm aesthetic, super soft comfy bed. Private layout and professional check-in process. Loved the birdwatching from the deck each night.

Positive: Quiet and clean. It's a compact little unit with everything except the bathroom in one room. The balcony was a lovely spot to have breakfast. A short drive (I even walked there) to Forrest and it's Cafe and Brewery (I can recommend the pork with a stout), Lake Elizabeth and Stevenson's Falls. The host was lovely and accommodating. We intended to get there at 2pm and really enjoy the facilities. Alas, in our usual style, we staggered in at 8:30pm or something and so wasted one of our days.

Summary: Great location on the edge of the forest and just a short drive from attractions

Positive: Quiet and private - separate carport and entrance, private balcony overlooking the garden - although it rained the whole weekend, so we couldn't use it, but we could watch the birds in the screening shrubs outside the large windows. The heater worked well, and hosts had the room warm when we arrived. Quite a large room with bed, comfy couch, dining table, and kitchenette. Good internet. A shed down the back to store the bikes out of the rain. Nice surprise of a punnet of berries and yoghurt in the fridge and my favourite biscuits to go with a good selection of teas and coffees. Only a short bike ride into town, the rail trail and mountain bike tracks.

Negative: Faint, strange smell when first entered the room.

Positive: Extraordinary mountain view from the deck! We could see countless stars at night. The host generously provided free snacks (including cereal and yogurt) and drinks (including milk). The bathroom was newly renovated!

Negative: I didn’t expect all the taps here to use tank water. Please make sure to bring enough bottled water—there’s one jar of filtered water in the fridge provided by the host. You can also boil water for drinking. Cooking isn’t allowed, so bring some easy-to-prepare food if you’d prefer not to eat out.

Positive: The location is beautiful with the Otways forest in view and the apartment surrounded by a beautiful garden of native shrubs and trees. This can all be taken advantage of by the excellent balcony adjoining the room. We enjoyed 15 species of birds in our short time there including magnificent yellow tailed black cockatoos. The apartment was very quiet and comfortable with all mod cons and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast supplies - cereal, yogurt, juice, berries, milk etc - were very good.

Positive: The Willy Wagtail Studio was wonderful. We received clear instructions to access the property prior to arrival. The studio was really comfortable, very well equipped hand had everything we could hope for or need. There were lots of thoughtful touches, not just coffee and tea but also milk, sugar, salt, pepper and more. The garden is beautiful and we sat and ate dinner on the deck, watching the many birds visit the flowering trees. The location was perfect for our purpose (we were doing the paddling with platypus) but also great for visiting the Great Ottway Forest.

Negative: Nothing, everything was perfect, thank you.
