Positive: We came to the Forest of Dean so that our two boys could go cycling at the nearby cycle centre. It was a perfect location to access the forest activities - only 10 minutes away from the centre, so very convenient. The lodge was very well equipped and had everything we needed to be able to cater for ourselves. Nadine was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We would definitely recommend the lodge and make a return visit if we come back to the forest.

Positive: Excellent host and a really lovely stay in the spotlessly clean lodge. It is clear that Nadine has considered everything from a guests point of view as we had everything we needed and more. What a beautiful lodge with very stylish fixtures, fittings, artwork and furniture. The gated outdoor area is also lovely. Wanted to stay in Monmouth/Tintern area, but the self-catering accommodation available there was nowhere near as appealing and Forest Cedar Lodge was also much better value for money and within easy reach of Monmouth.

Positive: Great communication from Nadine. The property was in an excellent location for my business trip to Cinderford. The property has everything you need and is in a quiet location. The parking space was also very useful. The property is well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. I would definitely return if visiting the area.

Positive: It's very clean and very comfortable. It was really a home from home which is ideal as my mother is walking with a stick and my son is under five. It suited both their needs so I was happy. I really appreciated the extra attention paid to everything, it was all done to a great quality and also really appreciated the biscuits, coffee and dishwasher tablets as I had forgotten to bring some. Everything we needed was there, my son enjoyed playing with the toys, I could also let him play outside as it's very secure, there are two gates in front of the property and then another large gate to get to the main entrance which could not be opened by a child even if they did run down. The bedroom upstairs is huge and the bed is very comfortable, the stairs has sensor lights which also made it safer to get down when it was dark. The bathroom is downstairs which ended up being great as my mum stayed downstairs in the sofa bed which meant she didn't need to use the stairs which can be difficult for her Although this property was a bit expensive for my normal budget it was worth the money in the end due to all these factors together.

Negative: I honestly don't have much to say that's negative, the only thing I would recommend is a longer non slip mat in the shower. The shower hose is also attached to the unit which made it a bit difficult for me to wash my son without also getting wet but it wasn't a big deal.

Positive: There was nothing not to like, everything there that you needed. Very clean and modern. And the treats Nadine left for us was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. They are a lovely family, would highly recommend. Lots of information on places to go,eat etc.

The location was great, a short drive and we were wandering through the forest; Puzzlewood is absolutely beautiful, I recommend a visit.
