Positive: The location was brilliant. We had a lovely time relaxing by the pool & the sunset views were amazing.

Negative: When we checked out we were given a random food bill from another table the previous night- when we queried it, we were given the correct bill, but it had not been added up, so it took my husband and a lovel y new member of staff (he turned up for his first shift as we w ere checking out) 20 minutes working though the bills on their phones (the hotel calculator did not work), a job that would have been made easier if the total at the end of each day/meal had been added up. Lovely hotel but check the bill carefully when you leave & allow plenty of time to check out.

Summary: Great hotel, just check your bill when you check out.

Positive: The location of Fogo Boutique Hotel is spectacular. Right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Just awesome. The swimming pool is edge-side as well. Perfection. Lounging around, reading, swimming, drinking beers. I stepped out our room five paces and played guitar with my legs dangling, lush greenery all around, overlooking the Magnificent Atlantic. Surreal. The photos we got are out of this world.

Negative: Just the green pool, which was a bit green, but is understandable since it’s outdoors and it was the rainy season, "The stunning view of the ocean and the island makes up for everything, a true treasure."
