Positive: The property itself is beautiful, with lovely surroundings and countryside views. The hosts are close by and available to help but not at all intrusive. Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold are interesting towns within easy reach.

Negative: Better signage for those arriving after dark.

Positive: Having a bathroom each was important. The living area worked well and was spacious. It was child friendly. The stairs had a sliding door at the bottom and at the top a bespoke gate. We made use of the assortment of games and books. We appreciated the welcome food.

Negative: Probably the quality of the Wi-Fi was disappointing and was intermittent. We could’ve done with some sharp knives.

Summary: A lovely light property for a get-together, with a short drive to local attractions.

Positive: Megan and Nic put together a lovely welcome book showing walks nearby, along with the local pubs and distances to nearby towns, there were also plenty of games to keep groups entertained. The beds were so comfortable and I loved the bath and huge shower, not to mention the under-floor heating. The barn is warm and very welcoming and Megan and Nic dropped by to ask how are stay was going and left fresh eggs from their chickens for us to enjoy. It was a wonderful stay for us leading up to our wedding day, a massive thank you Megan and Nic for your wonderful hospitality, we would love to stay again on our next visit to the 'Wolds :)

Negative: The cottage is a converted farm barn and so some flies tended to drift in during our stay, its part of being in the country and also happened with our friends in a property down the road, packing a can of fly spray may prove beneficial. The village is also remotely located. This was perfect for us, and actually the purpose of our stay, but a car is required as I imagine guests wanting to get around by public transport may find it's a long wait for a bus!

Summary: A truly wonderful home from home, set in a most beautiful and idyllic part of the Cotswolds

Positive: The property is stunning and the setting is so peaceful. There is lots of wildlife, including sheep in the adjoining field. We also woke up to deer in the garden one morning. We had everything we needed and the owners were on hand to help with any issues we had.

Negative: The only thing I'd mention is the WiFi was a bit temperamental but that's understandable in the rural location. EE seemed to get the best signal when we needed to use our phone data.

Positive: Fantastic modern building with large, clean rooms and comfy beds. Beautiful, peaceful location. Friendly, helpful hosts.

Negative: Very slow internet (inevitable in such a remote location), noisy heating(?) system can be a disturbance in the downstairs bedroom.
