Positive: A lovely cosy cottage 5 minutes from the local pub and pakefield beach, extremely easy to find. Parking on hardstanding in the front garden. Well equipped kitchen. The host left bread, milk and a selection of delicious pastries, we assume from the cafe at the end of the road. . Secluded back yard, not overlooked by any neighbours.

Negative: the only downside was the downstairs bathroom, probably unavoidable in a property like this.

Summary: Cosy little cottage near to beach and pub.

Positive: The cottage is well located for the beach with the Co-Op & various pubs & takeaways within easy walking distance. It is a comfortable cottage with TV in every room & Freeview on the main set (this may not seem very important, but we had quite a lot of rain during our visit, which curtailed our excursions). We didn't need any assistance during our stay, but our hosts were available via text message or phone should there be any issues. There is a little, gravelled yard with chairs for sitting out, possibly enjoying a meal or drink outdoors, but the weather was never good enough for us to be able to do this.

Negative: The property has the bathroom downstairs, which is somewhat inevitable for a property of this type & age. This was not a particular issue but with 2 dogs, which sleep overnight in the kitchen, night time visits to the toilet had to be carefully considered. We also noticed a lack of a washing line (not that it was ever dry enough to put washing out) or drying rack for washing.

Summary: Comfortable, well-located cottage

Positive: Beautiful cottage near to beach. Lots of little touches to make this a great stay. Delightful afternoon tea gift with lovely food, went down a treat. Big fluffy towels clean and comfortable. lots of information and hosts really helpful. car parking outside door.

Positive: Lovely cottage - really comfy, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The owner left us delicious treats on arrival. 5 mins walk to the beach. Near to all our favourite suffolk spots.
