Positive: The location and setting are brilliant, we loved waking to the misty forested river valley in the window and terrace, and being a pleasant walk from town. The apartment mostly had everything you need, and was fairly well equipped. It's a great base for a family / friends holiday, either as a base for exploring the region from, or just relaxing at the resort. Having to the outdoors pool and mini golf was great for outdoor fun, though just the walk along the river side is great in itself.

Negative: My biggest complaint is the smell of cigarette smoke. In the UK smoking is banned in most places with specified outdoor areas allocated to smoking. But every morning we woke to the smell of smoke wafting into the apartment from the shared entrance lobby and rear terrace. People should be asked to smoke away from buildings. Also, large bins for buts located near the pool entrance area was also very smelly and off-putting. Please encourage people to smoke and dispose of their cigarettes ends in a less busy area. The apartment came with mostly everything you need, but a bit of toilet paper, some milk, and some hand soap would go a long way. While it is self catering, hand washing is a basic requirement and people staying for short stays do not want to buy a large hand soap from the shop which is at the other end of town. The apartment was a little dated, but this was to be expected for the price and didn't detract from the holiday. As a slight down note, the indoor bowling is closed (I saw a review from last year that said the same so clearly it is advertised but they do not fix it), and the downstairs restaurant is poorly staffed so it seems impossible to get served. Staff there seem disinterested in serving so we gave up and went into town.

Negative: Wrong information on booking.com: check in time is after 4pm, and check out time before 10am. Lots of rules that are not given beforehand (like to throw trash away, to put the towels downstairs etc.), and only after I asked at the reception what to do when checking out (else hefty amounts will be deducted from your deposit). Outdated information in the apartment: for example you can see bowling everywhere, but it doesn't exist anymore. Kids a little bit disappointed of course. There is a dishwasher but you get only 2 tablets, regardless of your length of stay. The apartment and services are fine, it's the communication (not the friendliness, because that was very good) that took away a part of the holiday experience.

Positive: The location is great, quiet and green as well as close to the village. The pool and the tennis court are also great. Car parking free and large enough to not have any problems finding a spot.

Negative: While the room was clean enough, the other premises need some cleaning. There are some areas that were not cleaned probably in several months. The wifi is working only around the reception. The check-out should be extended to at least 11.00. Our room did not have AC and the room was dark. The bathroom would need a renovation. These things would not bother me if the price was lower, but when paying more than 150euros/night, these details start playing an important role.

Summary: This could be an extraordinary hotel with better customer service and more attention to details
