Positive: This boutique hotel has firmly earned its place as one of my all-time favourites. Ideally located just a stone’s throw from the Grote Plein, you step through the front door and are gently guided down an elegant passageway that opens into one of the most beautiful and intimate lodgings in Antwerp. The décor is a masterful balance between old and new, respectfully honouring the building’s history while embracing a contemporary aesthetic through rich, bold colour palettes. We stayed in the ground-floor Sapphire room, which was generously sized, wonderfully serene, and—fortunately—overlooked the tranquil courtyard. Every detail had been meticulously considered, right down to the much-appreciated turndown service. The level of service was exceptional. Stephan is an absolute credit to the hotel; from the warm welcome to the thoughtful farewell, his attention to detail and genuine hospitality ensured we felt impeccably looked after throughout our stay. The rain shower was indulgent, complemented by beautifully fragranced toiletries that added an extra layer of luxury to the experience. There is also a stunning lounge area, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying the hotel’s complimentary cocktail—an effortlessly elegant touch.
