Positive: Very clean and tidy. Lovely location. Kindly accommodated a packed lunch as we were leaving before breakfast.

Negative: Accommodation was in the adjacent Flora MacDonald cottage. The room was tiny. The bath was the size of a baby bath and the shower head was situated on the taps. My husband’s head was hitting the roof as he is 6ft tall. Very cramped.

Summary: Too expensive for what was experienced. Very overpriced. Restaurant prices also very expensive.

The hotel’s greatest strength is without a doubt the exceptional kindness and care of the fantastic staff. I’ll be back!

Positive: The views and outdoors where superb - but that's the natural surroundings! The hotel dining and bar area lovely.

Negative: The attic room! Too small, no head room. Whilst I knew we had small single bed room ( the only room I could book) i did not appreciate it was outside the hotel in a cottage. Again this would have been ok but the attic rooms are UNCOMFORTABLY low head room and height. Also, not everyone is young enough or enjoys a bath. They should have a shower fittings and shower curtain around the bath. The service, food, and manchester all excellent. The surroundings are memorable, but the experience let down with our room experience, especially considering the cost.
