Positive: Excellent location. Michealan Star Restaurant. Amazing staff; we arrived just before midnight. The kitchen was closed, but the staff made sure we had food ready for us at the bar. Everyone was so helpful and made us feel welcome.

Negative: The only downside was the spa facilities, which are undergoing a major refurbishment. But that didn't bother us at all. They told us it will be ready soon.

Positive: A splendid 5 star hotel which met all our expectations. The staff were courteous, efficient and friendly. The room was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable double bed and we enjoyed the little personal touches - the welcome note addressed to the two of us, for example, and the really yummy mignardises. Being across the river from the centre of Blois, the setting was very quiet and yet we could be in the centre, on foot, in under 15 minutes. The buffet breakfast was very good and the dinner in the Amour Blanc, to round off our week's holiday, was exceptional
