Positive: The property is a beautiful building in an excellent prime location offering some modern upgrades whilst still maintaining some locally historic charm to your stay.
Negative: In some areas of the hotel it can seem a little dark and tired.
Summary: The reception staff, Hedvig and Iris went out of their way to make sure our stay was everything it could be.

Positive: Cannot be closer to the rail station. Cannot comment on other forms of transport. Well situated for walks into the village and for the gondola (thought they could make it clear they have passes for the gondola as I paid separately). The staff are courteous and helpful. The bathroom is a good size and soaps etc of good quality. The place trades off its history which I liked. The terrace is also a gret place to chill out and overlooks the lake where I watched paragliders coming into land.
Negative: There were only a couple of tea bags, no coffee and no milk - shouldn't have to ask. Fortunately I had some of my own with me. Room cramped and TV channel choice limited - even if I had wanted to watch anything. I am not a fan of the one bed-two duvet arrangement. As a solo traveller I want the double bed I booked with a double duvet. I only stayed one night. I suspect more than a couple of nights in the room I was allotted would cause claustrophobia. Also not sure how they deal with winter sports people and their equipment etc. Interested parties would need to check.

Positive: The hotel looks stunning on the outside, however the rooms were pretty disappointing.
Negative: The rooms were disappointing. In our room, a hair clip was used to keep the curtains together. There were hardly any staff for breakfast.
