Positive: This apartment is stylish and comfortable, in a convenient location, with an attentive and helpful host. Nothing in Paris is cheap, but it is a better deal with much more space and character than a hotel. Being surrounded by original art, quality rugs, and a tasteful collection of books and games made the place feel like home, much more comfortable than mass-produced hotel furnishings. The building has an elevator, and the apartment has a refrigerator, stovetop, and coffeemaker, as well as a very new washing machine for laundry. The host was easy to reach and made a great effort to ensure that all was going well for me in the apartment. I was greeted when I arrived and a cab was arranged for me when I needed to leave. I felt very well taken care of, which made my stay as a solo traveler much more relaxing. I would highly recommend this place for solo travelers or couples.

Negative: Booking.com's system did not forward the information I was awaiting about the required 1000 EUR deposit, which led to some stress as I was about to travel to Paris from my previous location - the hosts were anxious to receive the deposit and I was put under great pressure to send it right away or lose my reservation. It turned out fine, but would have been much less stressful if the deposit could have been paid through Booking rather than PayPal - felt a little risky to send that much money to an unknown PayPal address via "friends and family" with no recourse if something went wrong, but fortunately the apartment does exist and my deposit was returned very promptly after check-out. Through no fault of the hosts, there were some maintenance issues in the building (brief loss of power and water) but the hosts kept me well informed and did their best to minimize any inconvenience. The listing states that there is air conditioning, but there was no a/c, just heat for the whole building, and it was so warm I had trouble sleeping for the first two nights - I followed instructions not to open any windows but on the 3rd day I asked for and received permission to open the living room window, which made the apartment much more comfortable. As others have mentioned in the reviews, it would be convenient to have either a toaster oven or a microwave to heat food. There are a few hangers near the door, but there's not really a closet or anywhere to put away clothing, so I lived out of my suitcase and used the dining table chairs to keep my clothes organized, which was OK for me traveling by myself but might not be ideal for a larger group. The loft layout would be difficult for someone with mobility issues - no railing on the stairs, a low beam to duck under at the top, and no space on either side of the bed - but if you're limber enough, it was an interesting adventure.

Positive: Great location, all the amenities you need with extras, felt very safe in the apartment as a mother and daughter, very quiet but step out of the door and you are straight into the hustle and bustle of Paris. Very close to transport networks so very easy to get about, we really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely come back if we visit Paris again in the future!

Positive: The apartment is bright and colorful, great styling. Plus, it has great blackout windows to get a good sleep. The air conditioning was perfect for the summer heat. Wonderful location close to Palais Garnier and Place Vendôme, with a small market around the corner if needed. They gave great instructions on how to enter the building. Very quiet too. The host was amazing! 5 stars

Positive: Location is PERFECT! Walking distance to Opera, gallerie Lafayette, many cafes and restaurants, and many Metro stations. The place is safe, clean, and very cute! Good natural light but with blackout blinds, so sleeping was comfortable. The communication with the host was perfect, check in/out process was very easy. I highly recommend this place!
