Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The apartment was a great discovery. It was spacious, really well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The location in relation to the sea (only a few meters from the water's edge) and supermarket (500 m) was absolutely excellent. The apartment was all ready for our evening arrival and the sofa bed was made up. Maria met us on arrival and showed us how to access the key from the key safe by the apartment's front door. We had communicated the progress of our flight and arrival time via WhatsApp and she replied promptly to our messages. The beds (including sofa bed - double sized and substantial) were extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels fresh and clean. The apartment bedroom had generous storage with bedside tables and fitted wardrobe with hanging rail and shelving. There was a complimentary bottle of water, juice and chocolate waiting in the fridge, which was a lovely touch and appreciated. The apartment is on the ground floor set behind the sea-fronting block of apartments. The apartment is slightly raised even being ground floor (accessed by a single short flight of stairs), so the apartment balcony benefits from sea breezes and privacy and also benefits from a pull down shade canopy. This was great when the sun moved round to be partly on the balcony mid afternoon. The balcony furniture (table and 4 chairs) were substantial and good quality. In fact, all the apartment furniture and equipment was in superb condition and the apartment felt well maintained and cared for. The grounds surrounding the apartments were also well kept.

Negative: It frustrating that the apartment doesn't have Wi-Fi. For those who are not coming with their car and who are reliant on Ubers, lack of access to Wi-Fi and a poor phone signal made leaving the site to explore beyond Kozino more challenging that it need have been. The small shop is reasonably stocked but lacking in much fresh food (apart from bread and a limited range of fruit). Without your own transport to shop further away e.g. Aldi on the outskirts of Zadar, self-catering is more difficult. The only other minor negative was the fact there was only one air conditioning unit in the apartment, located in the the open plan sitting /kitchen area. Although it was very effective in cooling, the bedroom could not be kept cool unless the bedroom door was kept open. Depending on who is in your party/ or whether you are using the sofa bed, not being able to have the bedroom door closed and stay cool could be annoying. It was for us, but not not massively so.

Summary: A great find. A well-equipped, very clean apartment in a great location for the sea and supermarket.
