Summary: This cozy home has been well planned and cared for. It is not new or fancy but everything is clean and quality. The contents, books, artwork reflect the serenity of the location - literally right on the Chilcoot Inlet. So quiet - just a few homes from the end of the road. Amazing views! And the wildlife!!! The first morning we watched 4 otters play near the shore before the tide went out. At the same time there were 14 eagles on the beach. Later we saw a momma bear and her cubs out on the beach further down the road. The home is also within a mile of the Chilcoot State Park where watching the daily capturing of salmon by a large "resident" brown bear was a treat and pretty dependable. Perfect experience!

Summary: This little cabin with a fantastic view of Chilkoot Inlet & surrounding mountains was our favorite lodging on a 2 week trip to the Juneau / Haines / Whitehorse area. The cabin is simply furnished but has all you need. There is a lovely deck & dining table outside where we sat for hours watching songbirds, eagles, and seals as the tide came in and out. Chilkoot Lake with kayaking, salmon fishing & bear watching is just a few minutes away. We would gladly stay here again!

Summary: Lovely property! Peaceful setting for wildlife watching or just sitting on the porch and taking in the breathtaking view! The house everything you need. It’s a perfect Alaskan getaway! Haines never disappoints and this property doesn’t either!

Summary: I was one of the first to rent this cottage (before any reviews were written) and I feel like I found a hidden gem. I would reiterate reviews that have since been written in August 2018. If I were to return to Haines, this is the place for me!!!
