Positive: The location for Sopley Mill weddings is fab. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was clean, the water hot and good pressure. It is nicely decorated and was a good sized room. We opted to have breakfast the next morning which was tasty. We liked that the rooms are in a separate coach house from the pub, with it's own entrance.

Negative: We heard the next morning that there has been a recent change in ownership which made some sense. We didn't dislike anything, but just some information conflicted from the listing on here and with the automatic replies. It didn't affect our stay in the slightest and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Whilst the breakfast was lovely, it would be nice to have a lighter option as well as full English. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Positive: Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Room clean, bed so comfy and linen so soft. We were on ground floor which was excellent as we had two dogs with us.

Positive: Room itself was very comfortable, and clean. Very good sized room. Plenty of tea/coffee supplied and of good quality.

Negative: On the website it is advertised as including breakfast. It does not and there is no breakfast offered- you are given a list of suggested local cafes. You only receive an email informing you of this after booking. This meant that other b&bs/ hotels locally would have been better value for money. I think the listing on booking.com needs updating to reflect this. Aside from this, no issues with the room itself.

Summary: Nice room. No breakfast option.

Positive: Hard to give a full review as we arrived on the day new tenants had taken over, so they were still finding their way around. The room was comfortable, nice decor and clean. It was in a separate block from the pub building and the place was very quiet (not the busy season anyway) - the traffic wasn’t an issue as we had a room facing the back. Parking is ample and free. We knew the previous people didn’t do breakfast, but the new tenants say they hope to offer it in future. We didn’t try the evening meals here so cannot comment.

Negative: It lacked a bit of atmosphere in the pub itself, but hard to judge that when the new tenants haven’t had time to put their own stamp on the place.
