We are a mile from where you catch the Sapelo Island ferry on a little Island called Seabreeze Island. We are so close to Sapelo that we get the same breezes, so this beautiful 4 bedroom 2 bath pet friendly home is appropriately named Sapelo Breeze Cottage. Tour Sapelo Island for the day, go to the Island's beautiful pristine beaches, or just kick back and enjoy the peaceful sounds and sights of this wildlife sanctuary. The expansive marsh views out of every window, balcony and deck are absolutely breathtaking! We have just added a hot tub! New for 2021..::outside deck with outdoor kitchen and wood burning fireplace as well as the whole boat house has been turned into a lounge area with Tv and bar/ screened In! The inside of the home has beautiful murals painted on the wall of old town Darien as well as Sapelo Island. The home has 4 large bedrooms, a chef's gourmet kitchen and views of expansive marsh all around. Dolphin can be observed off the main deck and dock. The home has its own floating dock to bring your boat or simply fish and crab off of during your stay! We are truly happy to have you come and visit us! Located within easy driving distance of St Simon’s Island but without the hustle and bustle of tourists everywhere! Jekyll Island is located within close proximity as well. The little historic fishing town of Darien also offers waterfront dining and delicious seafood. This little piece of Georgia will be on your mind for quite some time after your stay! Come fish the afternoons away and pull up crab traps right off your very own private dock. Take a nap in one of California King size beds and watch the biue herons and wildlife from the decks off of each huge bedroom! Waste the afternoon sitting on the side deck and watch the dolphins swim by! Take a dip in the hot tub under the stars! Hop on the golf cart or bicycles and ride around secluded Seabreeze Island and see the little island deer that have made their home in this wildlife sanctuary. Take the kayaks and paddle board for a morning out on the tidal creek waters where around every turn of the creek is another sight to behold full of marsh grass swaying in the breeze, big beautiful marsh birds wading, red fish and trout and dolphin feeding on the bait jumping. You can even catch fish from your kayak right in the creek! Unload your boat on the private boat ramp (prior approval and discussion required in order to use ramp) and tie up to the dock to get ready for a day out on our beautiful coastal Georgia waters and beaches that you can only access by boat. Catch your bait in the creek and head on out for flounder redfish trout and more! Be ready to cook up today’s catch either caught off the dock or off your boat in the chef’s dream of a kitchen! Cooking in your kitchen is an experience you won’t soon forget! Take the pups out for a walk around the friendly neighborhood, they will enjoy it here too! Don’t forget to make your plans to visit Sapelo Island while you are here, the landing to take the ferry boat over to this island that is such a huge part of our history is right around the corner. Be taken back in time to a simpler kind of life where our ancestors and community of the Gullah Geechee families mean so much to our culture and history. The seclusion of Sapelo Breeze Cottage is like no other, once you get there, you don’t have to see another person for the remainder of your stay and most guests like it that way!
