Positive: The location was great for us visiting family nearby. We were travelling with our dogs and they were made very welcome. The surroundings were lovely and perfect for dogs, and it was very peaceful in the morning and evening for a walk. The staff were very approachable and friendly, special thanks to David, who was very helpful. The studio was more spacious than I expected and didn't feel cramped. Overall, the accommodation is comfortable and everything you need is provided, hairdryer, iron etc.

Negative: It would have been useful to have had a small hoover and mop. We stayed for 12 nights with our dogs. I cleaned their feet before entering the studio, but a hoover would have been most useful. The accommodation is a little tired in places, a few small repairs are needed.

Positive: Staying in the woodland. Great walks for the dogs. Very cosy with instant hot water and a washer drier.

Negative: Nothing, well if I'm honest having to pay extra for my dogs. I understand that not everyone has dogs but if an establishment says it takes dogs, then charges an extra charge, it feels like you are being penalised for having a furry friend. Most dog owners clean the place prior to leaving, so no extra cleaning is required, so extra charges are just an easy way to raise additional easy money.

Positive: Have stayed several times and found it to be very good value for money. No frills but clean and comfortable and a superb location for us to visit family in Kilmacolm.

Positive: Simplicity of booking in and getting settled. Perfect for visiting family in the area And it was pitch black at night, no street lights keeping you awake.

Negative: There was nothing i.didnt like. Maybe the bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked, but that was more down to my preference in mattress than the accommodation provided as it was excellent.

Positive: The location was beautiful, and the surroundings exciting to explore. Unfortunately, due to commitments we were unable to sample the tea room, but will next time!

Negative: The only problem that I encountered was the outdoor steps, (although, this was advised prior to arrival). It wasn’t difficult for myself. However, my 6 month old puppy Labrador-Retriever, found the steps difficult to negotiate! She was shaking on 2nd day, and I had to carry her up and down. Not easy, as she weighs over 19 kilos!! I will return but would request ground floor accommodation.

Positive: The location was wonderful, and more beautiful than we had expected. We loved the gardens and woodland overlooking the Clyde, and walked around them with our dog every day Although electricity supplies were disrupted when we arrived, they were quickly fixed, the only negative result being that the cafe was not funtioning for a week. The accomodation was clean and quite stylish, and we found it easy to get fuel for the woodburner, which was very effective. Driving in and out of Glasgow to visit relatives was quick and easy.

Negative: The cutlery was extremely limited. We literally had to borrow a knife, fork and spoon when our son and daughter in law paid us a visit. The duvet was thin and not warm enough for a winter visit, although the bed was comfortable. 13.5 tog would be better. The first floor location was fine, although a poorly dog meant the stairs became a bit tricky.

Summary: Beautiful and scenic location for a visit to the Clyde and Glasgow.
