Positive: The location is nice and spacious. Good breakfast and a scenic location in nature.

Negative: We were given a room that smelled extremely of mold. Seems like no one had opened it for a long time, there was no window besides a small one in the bathroom, and practically the room was kind of an old storage turned into a room, since it was also outside of the main entrance, practically outside of the hotel and we had a small "garden" door that separated it us from the road and mountain, which felt quite unsafe. The towels were all dirty and had stains all over them and it was the same with the duvet on the bed. It is really a same, because the property looked really nice.

Positive: The setting is absolutely stunning, and the different terraces and seating areas just beg you to relax and enjoy some downtime. Our room was pleasant, with a spacious bathroom. Guest next door was playing the TV quite loudly, which was a drawback. Breakfast was fresh, ample and delicious. Unfortunately we stayed over on a Sunday night, when dinner is not available. Our loss.

Negative: Be aware that driving in the Madonie reserve can be challenging due to curves, plus poor pavement off the main roads. We came up a back road from the Cefalù exit off E90 and it was pretty hairy.
