Das 1997 neu erbaute Gästehaus liegt ca. 50m vom ca. 400 Jahre alten Hof "Ruheckle" entfernt. Das Gästehaus und der Hof liegen in freier Lage, in mitten von Wiesen und Wäldern. Dem Urlauber bietet sich ein herrlicher Blick Richtung Südwesten über die Gipfel des Hochschwarzwaldes bis zum Feldberg, Schauinsland und Belchen, Richtung Nordwesten zu den Höhen des Kandel. Die schönsten Wanderwege des Hochschwarzwaldes führen in unmittelbarer Nähe am Haus vorbei. Der nahegelegene Ort Waldau ist über herrliche Wanderwege in 2,5 km erreichbar. Auch die Täler Langenordnach und Jostal sind in wenigen Kilometern erreichbar. Ein wahres Paradies für Natur- und Wanderfreunde. Im Winter erreichen Sie die Loipe "Schonach - Belchen" (Thurnerspur) in drei Minuten. Der Skilift Waldau liegt fünf Autominuten vom Haus entfernt. Titisee-Neustadt, Breitnau, Hinterzarten, St. Märgen, St. Peter, Glottertal und Freiburg sind mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar. Der 400 Jahre alte Hof liegt im südlichen Hochschwarzwald in ca. 1030 m über dem Meer in der Nähe der B500 (Deutsche Uhrenstraße) von Hinterzarten nach Furtwangen. Der Hof wird heute von den Eheleuten Isolde und Berthold Rombach als Nebenerwerbslandwirtschaft bewirtschaftet. Neben neun Hektar Wiesen und drei Hektar Wald werden noch 12 Rinder und Kälber gehalten. Auf dem Hof sind mehrere Katzen, die frei herum laufen, und ein Zwergkaninchen die Lieblinge der Kinder. Die Freunde des Nordic-Walking finden in unmittelbare Nähe des Hofes ideale Wege in allen Schwierigkeitsgraden dafür. Die schöne Höhenlage mit Panoramasicht über den Schwarzwald bietet Ausblicke über die Rheinebene bis zum Kaiserstuhl und den Vogesen, bei guter Sicht ist sogar ein Ausblick zu Jungfrau, Eiger und Mönch möglich.
Die komfortabel ausgestatteten Ferienwohnungen liegen im neu erbauten Gästehaus und verfügen jeweils über zwei große Balkone, die den schönen Ausblick auf die herrliche Umgebung des Hochschwarzwaldes abrunden. In gemütlichem Ambiente können Sie entspannende Tage genießen. In der größeren Wohnung (Nr. 1) stehen zwei Schlafräume sowie eine Spülmaschine zur Verfügung. In beiden Wohnungen ist ein Bad mit Dusche und WC. Die Schlafzimmer bieten großzügigen Platz für ruhige und erholsame Nächte. Beide Wohnungen sind mit Essecke und gemütlicher Couch ausgestattet. Die Küche ist mit einem Elektroherd mit Backofen, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und Toaster ausgestattet. Auch an die Sicherheit ist gedacht, im gesamten Haus befinden sich eine zentrale Rauchmeldeanlage. Im Garten stehen für Kinder verschiedene Spielgeräte wie Schaukel, Rutsche, Sandkasten etc. zur Verfügung. Ein großes Gartenhaus lädt zu geselligen Grillabenden ein. Vor dem Haus stehen mehrere Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Die drei Sterne Ferienwohnung Nr. 1 ist ca. 44 qm groß. Sie verfügt über zwei Schlafräume (einess mit Doppelbett und das andere mit Hochbett). Das Bad ist mit Dusche und WC ausgestattet. Der Wohnraum ist mit einer Küchenzeile, Essgarnitur und einem Sofa ausgestattet. Nach Norden und Süden ist jeweils ein Balkon mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und einem phantastischen Ausblick. Handtücher müssen mitgebracht werden.
