Fentons Run is a beautiful bushland property accommodation in the stunning Southern Highlands of NSW, located at High Range, along Wombeyan Caves Road, close to the charming village of Berrima and twenty minutes to the township of Bowral. The "Stables" is a private self contained cottage that is ideal for a large group of up to 14 people. It offers a completely unique experience, spectacularly located on its own private acreage and bounded by the Nattai National Park.
Offering comfortable accommodation for up to 14 people. With 6 Bedrooms and 3 Showerooms (5 Queen bedrooms and 1 with 2 King Singles and a Bunk Bed. 3 Shower rooms with toilets).
A working 100 acre property with a full sized Polo field, Dorper Sheep, Alpachas and Horses. Conveniently located only 20 minutes from Bowral or 10 minutes from Mittagong or the iconic historic Berrima Village. If youre travelling with your horses, there are facilities for you to have your four legged friend in a paddock near by.
Inside The Stables, the 18 seat dining table is perfect for an important event or social gathering. Great indoor & outdoor bar facilities, BBQ, a pool table and indoor fire, an entertaining area with open fire place youre bound to enjoy this property all year round.

The host is excellent and Charlie could not do more to have helped us, he even lit the fires for us before we arrived. The house has all that you need for a fun group get together and the beds are very comfy. The decor is rustic but comfortable. Lovely outside area near a fire and plenty if dining and activity space. Located within 20 mins of Bowral the quiet country estate was perfect for our small school-girls reunion. Great stay!

Summary: My Daughters and I had a lovely weekend getaway at Fenton’s Run. Charlie and Trudy were lovely hosts who put a lot of thought into providing a great getaway. The horses, friendly dogs and quiet countryside made for a relaxing experience.

Reviewer Comments: This was a surprise birthday getaway and everyone who stayed had a great time and loved it. The location is perfect for relaxing and switching off, connecting with one another. Charlie is a great host, checking in each day everything was ok and ensuring we had enough firewood. The entertainment area is great especially with the pool table and bar and there are shops nearby if needed. I would love to stay here again.

Summary: It was a lovely novelty to stay in a converted stables. We thought it was hilarious that each of our bedrooms had once housed a horse (before renovations) but could I offer the following advice: * Insulation I'm not sure how much insulation is in the walls/ceiling of the building but there needs to be more. We were cold, inside, all weekend. The main room in particular just didn't hold the heat. * Wiring Please seriously consider getting an electrician to either look at or redo the wiring. We were told on arrival not to turn up any of the heaters (which we took on board and didn't touch) because it would flip the power. We didn't touch the heaters but the power went off seven times during our two day stay. To reset the power meant a 15metre?? walk outside. We had the kettle set it off a couple of times, the dishwasher a couple and completely unknown sources the other times. At night, when the power goes out it is very very black, and in the winter, walking out to the switch is not fun at all. * The fire I'm not sure if it was the wood provided or the fire itself but the fire (which is the main form of heating) did not push out a lot of heat. We spent a large amount of time over the weekend making sure the fire was going so we could keep at least some heat through the room. I know we were staying on a particularly cold weekend but most of us were wearing puffer jackets inside in an effort to keep warm.

The place is very well maintained, prepared for new guests, clean, plenty of firewood, all amenities plentiful and functional, . The bar is well set up with a music system with all kinds of connections. Large fridges to accommodate beverages and ice. Pool table in fine condition. New BBQ near the outside fireplace which is covered if need be. Inside is the longest table I've seen. Bedrooms very comfortable, good linen and a heater and spare blanket in each room. Highly recommended.Management looked after us for very well. Thanks Charlie and Co.

It has plenty of bedrooms with ample space for old and young alike to sit back and relax. The kids had heaps of fun with the dogs, playing in the paddock and feeding the horses. The scenery was stunning with misty mornings and beautiful sunsets.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an extended family weekend together at Fentons run. There was lots of room to run around outside (for the kids and young at heart) and inside for when the weather turned wet, or the sun went down. As others have noted, the phone reception is almost non-existent (even though Telstra should have service there) and the wifi is highly patchy, and slow when it operates. I don't think that's the owner's fault - it's just not been served by our NBN. If you don't need things to be first class, then this place is great. There's a bar, lots of music and sound systems, and you can make all the noise you want. The beds are comfortable, and with 10 people it wasn't an issue having communal showers. There are a few shortcomings though - the power tripped out on some circuits a few times, the stove is tiny considering the place sleeps 16, and the BBQ was filthy (if we had discovered that before we went to cook breakfast on the morning we were checking out we would have said something) and if you're hoping for a farm experience for kids, you will only be able to look at a few horses and alpacas. On the other hand, my niece loved the chance to play with the dogs, so we were grateful to Charlie for letting them out for her.

Reviewer Comments: Old Boys Time Out Thursday evening to Sunday morning for 5 over 60 year olds. The accommodation was perfect. Rooms, kitchen, dining room, bar, pool table outside facility and BBQ. Not to mention the abundance of firewood, firelighter etc provided by the owner. The place was clean on arrival, Charlie put fans in each room. We ate, drank, chatted, played music into the wee hours having a ball. Thanks Charlie and Co.
