Positive: We loved the views from the windows and outside seating, overlooking fells and fields full of sheep. Anne & Jim were sobwelcoming, they have made this cottage into a cosy home, with woodburner and gorgeous comfy bedrooms. They have thought of everything, even leaving us milk, eggs and biscuits. We met their horses and donkey and were even invited to watch a cesarean section on their cow. Wow, what hard work it is for farmers, we really don't know everything that is involved with keeping livestock. Happy to say mum and calf are both doing well, after a traumatic welcome to the world. Thank you for making us so welcome and for the invite to the insight of calfing on a rural farm. We will be back, I wonder what you will have in store for us next time 😀

Positive: Loved it all. Smack bang in the middle of a working farm with great views and wonderfully quiet. Sandra will happily show you the amazing lambs and share local tips.

Negative: I don’t really want to be negative about our stay as it was amazing. The water pressure on the shower is the only thing that would improve this property. (Sorry for a negative)

Summary: Wonderful stay. Wonderful people who are passionate about farming and will share and show as much about their lifestyle

Positive: Fell View Cottage is lovely: it's spacious, well equipped, has amazing views and is a great location for exploring the area. Best of all are the hosts Jim and Anne who are a lovely and kind couple. It's a working farm and Jim told us about the various animals they had which our kids really enjoyed. He gave us directions, local walks (there's a nice 2 mile walk through fields straight to a picturesque quiet beach) and information on what to do. I really enjoyed seeing Jim and chatting about what we'd done that day!

Positive: The size of the cottage is great. Very comfy bedroom. Host left some farm eggs and milk.

Negative: Very Cold house! There’s no control over the heating. There was a fireplace but nothing to light it on. The shower is like having someone pour water on you. No pressure and just about lukewarm.

Negative: TBH the only thing that spoiled it was a day of rain .but we just stayed inside and enjoyed the veiw from the window .
