Positive: What a gem of a place. Far exceeded expectations. On arrival, the receptionist Lyn, was friendly, cheery and helpful. Very efficiently completing paperwork and explaining everything. Rooms were clean, spacious and smart. Lovely clean fluffy towels, nice hand and body wash and moisturiser, lots of coffee bags and choice of tea's and biscuits. The room and bathroom were really tastefully done. Beds clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet with no banging doors. The three of us had dinner in the adjoining pub, Charlie behind the bar was just lovely, polite and helpful and quick to seat us and bring our drinks. The food choice and quality was exceptional. Lots of seafood on the specials board and a good variety on the menu. I had Bream my companions had steak and ale pie. The quality of the food far exceeds the usual standard in a pub, clearly you have a fantastic chef. Jo who served our food was equally lovely and friendly. The dining area was bright, clean and just a nice area to be in for dinner and breakfast. The wine menu had English wine on at a fair price( Chapel down). We had continental breakfast, again good value at £7 , good choice of fruit, pastries, bread and yoghurt. There was also a cooked breakfast option which looked nice when it arrived for others. Natasha the server at breakfast was calm , efficient friendly and helpful. She managed everything really well given the large number of people at breakfast. I think the Feathers must have a great manager given how happy and efficient all the staff were. It's a joy to stay somewhere so lovely where you are made to feel valued and looked after so well. I would 100% recommend the hotel and the restaurant. If I lived closer I would be in the restaurant a couple of times a week.
Negative: The only negative was the boiler had broken down in the morning so we had no hot water. It was an accident and didn't spoil our stay or experience. Staff were very apologetic.
Summary: Fabulous rooms and restaurant, excellent customer care 100% recommend , a little gem of a place.

Positive: Almost everything. The receptionist was very friendly and we liked the small distance from the pub - rather than being in the same building. Loved the idea of getting fresh milk in the can and having a teapot. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent and loved the biscuits.
Negative: The shower. I felt the bath was a bit slippery and there was nothing to hold onto to get in and out. The handheld shower head was a bit limed up so didn't work very well. My husband thought it was all ok but agreed re the showerhead. The overhead showed was ok.
Summary: Great value for money with nice little touches.

Negative: Restaurant lovely only disappointment was at 7.30 they had run out of rhe fish I wanted which was a shame Staff were lovely though and as I was in my own were very attentive so can’t fault
Summary: Would definitely stay there again and I asked for the cleaning staff to be complimented on the cleanliness of room and b
